There is a new trend in the bathroom to eliminating visual barriers. The A.D.A. may have initiated the movement to eliminate the curb that defines the boundaries of the showering area from the rest of the bathroom. The bathroom floor flows into the shower without the customary curb. In fact the only thing about the floor that identify the shower area is the drain. The shower is bound by glass panels, but they lack the typical door. The glass panels prevent water splashing in the the main area of the bathroom. The bathroom gives a feeling of clean and spaciousness.
